Hmonitor is a very good tool for fast PC's, especially useful for users with high-end P4 processors which heatup rapidly as their workload increases. The thermo control allows the CPU speed to be throttled at a selected maximum temperature and gives valuable protection against overheating and excessive fan noise. On the downside, the registration/activation process could be simpler. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend Hmonitor to all users of Gigabyte motherboards: it works well with Gigabytes new "3D Cooler Pro".

I want to emphasize that, thanks to Hmonitor 4.1, I have avoided a big loss of very important data. The high temperature of my hard drive was an effective defect which certainly directly leaded to the definitive failure of the drive. The information given by Hmonitor 4.1 allowed me to give a solution to the problem before the disaster. Thanks again and congratulations for your so useful tool!

Works very well under XP with my hardware. Does everything I need it to. Keeps an eye on both of my CPU's(pair of PIII 850's), as well as my Asus V8200 Deluxe VGA card. Combining the logging and alert features also allow me to know the status of my machine remotely. I have written a few small applications that with the aid of these features allow me to monitor the status of my machine by telnet, and also have my pc email me with any alerts.
I recommend this software without hesitation, and the registration fee is a modest price to pay for software with this functionality.

After my trial expired, I bought the license and it was worth every penny. My T-Bird 1.2 GHz (200 MHz) CPU now runs around 36.5'C now thanks to HMonitor 4.0.3.1 Pro and my motherboards chipset runs around 28.0'C. Most Excellent program. I look forward to updates!

HMonitor version 4 works great on VIA KT133A (northbridge) and 686B (southbridge) platforms. To be precise, mine is a DFI AK75-EC mobo, Athlon Tbird AXIA 1.2Gb 133/266 MHz FSB Slightly overclocked through FSB increase to 140/280 from 133/266, CPU internal clock being 1260 MHz (9 x 140). After installing HMonitor 4, CPU temperature dropped from 47-48 Celsius to 30-31 Celsius! My new mobo came with VIA's latest Hardware Monitor (version 2.04), a program with no utility whatsoever except just reading CPU/system temperatures and fan speeds. I wonder why don't Alexander's AB Software get together with a leading chipset maker (like VIA) to put up a really nifty hardware monitoring and temperature controlling program to be shipped all over the world with the respective chipset. A whole world would be thankful to such a move!

I have been using the shareware version of HmonitorPro 3.2.3.1 for a few days and I am very pleased with the performance of your program. Although not specified in your Supported Motherboards List, HmonitorPro automatically detected my MB sensor as GL518SM, so I think you can safely include P5BV3+ (as well as all DFI's Socket/Super7 motherboards I should think) in your MB list under DFI section. Anyway, I think your program is absolutely wonderful and please accept my congratulations and appreciation.

I have just registered my copy of your Monitor Pro software. I have found it invaluable in tracking the temp's in the CPU. I am running an AMD Duron 700 and it gave all sorts of trouble right from the first time we fired it up. The dealer has now supplied a new CPU, Heatsink and Fan and installed the monitor software. I have found that the CPU is quite sensitive to ambient temp and commonly runs at or near 50Deg C when the ambient temp is in the 35-38Deg C range. The system starts to hang when the CPU hits 50Deg. The room temp is currently about 25Deg C and it is running at 47Deg. I will be fitting another exhaust fan to the case over Christmas, and if it still runs on the hot side I will fit a slot fan directed at the heatsink. Happy Christmas to all at Hmonitor. Mike Laws. It can become a real kick ass utility if you could add a fan throttling function. When the CPU is above X, the fan must spin 100%, under Y the fan can be reduced by 50% or stopped. I know a little prog for my BP6 board but not for the others (Abit VT6X4 for example). Thank you, good work !

HMonitor is the best in the NT/2000 environment. My dream still remains CPU idling in NT not only when temperature rises, but also when CPU activity is high for prolonged periods. This additional method would suit all of us who do not have a temperature sensor for the CPU but only for the motherboard. However, still HMonitor is useful, since it allows to uncoditionally lower CPU speed whenever needed, and thus not crash. Keep up with the excellent work ! I hope some day my dream will come true :)

I was familiar to cooling apps, and been a faithful user of Waterfall Pro for more than a year in Win98, since i overclocked my C300A to 450. However i was in a dead end now that I use NT2k (and i suppose NT4 overclockers have the same problem). In my humble opinion, HMonitor is the greatest utility not only because it implements HLT, but because it has found a way to throttle the CPU in NTx, a feature without which the concept of overclocking has no meaning: it is 100% certain that if i run a CPU intensive app i will crash in 5 or 10 minutes (I use no additional cooling/fans). In fact, throttling should be a standard feature of the kernel of all operating systems...

An absolutely superb little program, and one which I do not mind paying the small price for. It does *exactly* what I want... As a result I purchased cooling equipment from 3dcool.com (again, highly recommended - shipping to the UK in less than a week!!) and now my CPU is happy again. I like the peace of mind that this program provides. Well done...

Hmonitor Pro works great even though its not on the motherboard list. The Abit BE6 doesn't support the -5 voltage reading due to the use of a less expensive Winbond chip so the -5 voltage reading is erroneous in red. Hope the next update addresses this issue. So far this is the best mainboard monitoring APP I've found to date even with the -5 voltage issue.

I loved this program when it first became available for NT. I'm using the Pro version now on a TX97-E with Win98 and a IBM/Cyrix PPR233 with 75mHz bus and 3x. This is one of the finest programs I've seen. Great coding! Hoping one day for a Linux version :-))

I just thought I would let you know that you program is great. I tried a few other utilities like it and most of them didn't work and some of them even crashed my computer when I ran them. Your's works great! My motherboard is a BCM VP1541 with the Aladdin V chipset and a Winbond W83781D.

I really like Hardware Sensors monitor. It is a lot easier to use than Motherboard Monitor, and not nearly as bloated. Very accurate readings, also.

Great utility. Works well with the TYAN s1836DLUAN. Took a while to figure out that the 2 LM75s are at address 4 and 5, but still a very friendly program.

Woohoo! Finally a proggie that can access my LM75s. This is SO much better than that evil Intel thing. I found that the correct setting for the first LM75 on the board is 4. Now, if i could only get the program to realize that the board has an LM79 no an LM78...

I am an avid overclocker, using a Pentium II 300 and running it at a rock solid 450. I wouldn't dream of doing this without your program HMONITOR. It has helped greatly in establishing what fans to use and experienting in which direction and location they should be. A top flight, low memory TSR!!!!

I think this is a great program. Nice and small in size and has an easy to use interface. I especially like that it sits in the taskbar out of the way and I can view the temps of the mb and cpu just by putting the mouse over the icon.

This really is cool! Cpu utilization seems to be really good. I can't notice any difference whether HMonitor is running or not. The MB temp, fan speeds, and the voltages seem in line with what LanDesk (yuck) was reporting. So far so good!

HMonitor is really a very good program. It beats the ASUS PC PROBE as I feel the info is easier to read and the program is much more compact. I also greatly appreciate your quick response to requests for change. As far as I am aware this is the only softw re available for ASUS boards that reads out all three temps. Heres to more features like temperature graphs and min / max readings.

Your Hmonitor is great! Supermicro has their own SuperDoctor program that monitors much the same things, but its user interface is not particularly nice, and it takes up a lot of room. Having Hmonitor in the system tray, with vital stats available at a lance, is a real advantage. Thanks!
